Doodles are sociable, friendly, non aggressive, and extremely intuitive. Their intelligence and high trainability make them well suited for guide dogs, therapy dogs, and other assistance dogs. Although shedding less than other breeds labradoodles are not specifically ideal for people with allergies,there is no guarantee a Labradoodle will not effect individuals with allergies. asthma etc.
Labradoodles live from 13 to 15 years. They love people and exercise and recently one of the first Labradoodles we bred completed the Coast to Coast walk from St Bees in the Lakes to Newcastle upon Tyne.
Size and Stature
Three sizes of Labradoodles are currently distinguished.
The Standards are 23 - 26 inches tall. The Mediums are 18 - 21 inches tall. The Miniatures are 14 - 17 inches tall.
The Standards: Females - 45-60 pounds; Males - 55-77 pounds. The Mediums: 40-55 pounds, Males being the larger. The Miniatures: 26-55 pounds, Males being the larger.
Labradoodle Coat and Colour
Labradoodles are bred to have either the truly Fleece coat or the Wool Curly coat. First generation doodles have almost that disney shaggy dog look about them they are refered to as F1 labradoodles or first generation. F2 or second generation can have either coat type. Casting or shedding is minimal and the coat easy to maintain. The Fleece coat has a distinctly soft fleecy feel unlike any other dog coat. It hangs in loose loopy spirals like that of the Angora goat. The Wool Curly coat resembles that of a poodle and feels like a soft woolly sweater. The coats come in a variety of colors including: Black, Silver, Cream, Apricot Cream, Chalk, Gold, Red, Apricot, Chocolate, and Café.
All parents of our puppies are K.C. registered. Our puppies come wormed with their own pedigree and an information pack. We are able to offer micro chipping which is painless but very worthwhile. If you ever require a dog passport for travel abroad the micro chip is required, and if by any chance your dog becomes lost all dog shelters and the police have a micro chip reader and your Doodle can be traced straight back to you.......
Delivery can be arranged in exceptional circumstances, if you have already been to meet us and chosen your puppy.
